Inspired by Tradition

Our Live Edge Furniture Collection is a harmonious blend of Japanese craftsmanship and the American crafts movement, paying homage to nature through thoughtful design. Each piece is a testament to the beauty and uniqueness of solid wood, emerging naturally from the form of the individual tree we carefully select.

Driven by Craftmanship

What starts as a solid, unassuming block of wood slowly transforms under the steady rhythm of skilled hands. Here, the leg of a dining table is born—not from machines alone, but from the intuition and patience of the maker. Each curve carved, each edge softened, is a dialogue between the craftsman and the grain. The grinder hums, dust rises, and with every pass, raw timber yields to form, revealing the quiet beauty hidden within

  • Our approach combines traditional joinery techniques, minimalistic designs, and natural oil finishes to highlight the wood’s grain and texture. Every slab is seasoned, handcrafted, and finished with precision, ensuring each piece is not just furniture but a lasting tribute to nature and sustainability.

    an American woodworker and architect

1 of 3

George Nakashima’s craftsmanship was a fusion of Japanese tradition, American woodworking, and modernist design. He emphasized organic forms, live edges, and exposed joinery, allowing the natural beauty of wood to dictate the design. Instead of altering or disguising imperfections, he embraced them—highlighting knots, cracks, and grains to preserve the soul of each tree. His work was entirely handcrafted, using traditional Japanese carpentry techniques learned during his time in an internment camp. Nakashima’s pieces were not just furniture but timeless, functional art, reflecting a deep respect for nature and meticulous attention to detail.
