Watch a swan leave the water and there is a single moment when stillness becomes flight – the wing opens, and the weight is gone. Every piece in this collection holds that moment.

The top runs level, then falls away at one edge into a deep panel carved entirely by hand, feather over feather, in that opening sweep. The edge is mitred so the grain runs on unbroken, from the calm of the flat surface down into the carving, as though the wood had always been one motion.

Nothing is applied, and nothing interrupts. It is the most patient carving we do, and the reason Swan is our signature – the piece stands perfectly still, and never quite does.
