Shipping and Return Policy

We work with a renowned 3rd party logistics company for our deliveries and deliver pan India. Typically most shipments take between 5-8 working days to reach, post dispatch. We provide door to door delivery in case of small size items which can fit in a lift. In case of bigger shipments or any material which needs to be carried via stairs, the logistics team will leave the shipment at the ground floor from where you would need to arrange your own manpower for goods movement. 

Key points to note at various stages of the delivery process are mentioned below -

Shipping rate:

  • The freight is calculated at checkout basis packing dimensions and assuming well connected destinations.
  • You would need to provide your delivery address at checkout. In the rare case that your location is in a remote area beyond the regular connectivity, our team will get back to you within 2 days of order placement and inform you about the additional freight charges.
  • In case of remote location, we will give you the option of cancelling the order in case you do not want to bear the additional freight. Refund would be processed within 2 working days.
Pre-dispatch: 
  • Our team will share pictures and videos of the finished item via whatsapp/ email, for your go ahead before scheduling dispatch. 
  • Post your go ahead, you would need to confirm your delivery address once again and share a point of contact for the logistics team to coordinate delivery with.
  • We provide door to door delivery for small items which can fit in lifts. In case you want us to arrange door to door movement for large shipments, additional labour charge would need to be borne. Please inform our team regarding the same when they contact you for dispatch planning.
  • In case you are expected to be unavailable during the probable delivery date, please inform the team, so that the dispatch date could be adjusted.
  • In case you would like an appointment delivery - implying fixed date and time, the same can be arranged at an additional cost. Please write to us at info@solidbench.com or contact our team before dispatch to plan for appointment delivery.

Post dispatch - Transit 

  • An online tracking number will be shared with you one day after dispatch, to track live status of your shipment. We request you to check the tracking details to know the estimated delivery date and status.

Final Delivery - Once shipment arrives at final hub

  • The logistics team will contact you once the shipment has reached the final hub for scheduling delivery to your home.
  • Once the shipment arrives, please check the packing for any outward damage. Please note that since the logistics team is a 3rd party vendor, they will not be opening the packing or assembling the furniture.
  • In case there is no damage to the packing, please sign the delivery slip as your confirmation for smooth delivery. 

In case of damaged packing:

  • We take utmost care with our packaging and use an industrial packaging provider to oversee our packing design. However, we cannot control the handling of goods and there are chances of the goods being damaged in transit.
  • In case of any visible damage to the packing or any sound of loose furniture inside the box/ crate, please show it to the delivery person and make a comment regarding the same on the delivery slip the delivery team will ask you to sign. This would be critical for us to claim insurance.
  • Please do take pictures and videos and email the same to us at info@solidbench.com within 24 hours of receiving the damaged shipment. 
  • We request you to open the packaging yourself or with the help of a local carpenter, inspect the product and show any damage to the product to the delivery person. However, please note, that the delivery person is not obligated to stay while you open the package, in which case your comment on the delivery slip will suffice.

Opening the packaging and assembly

  • You would need to open the packing yourself or organise a local carpenter for the same.
  • While our chairs and small items are dispatched fully assembled, some items like dining tables, benches and coffee tables may require assembly of legs. All holes are already drilled and threaded inserts and allen key are provided along with your shipment. The legs can be assembled easily by yourself or with the help of a local carpenter by simply inserting the threaded inserts into the drilled holes and tightening the inserts with the allen key provided. Returns and Refunds

  • We accept returns only in case of damages in transit or manufacturing defects. 
  • The product should be in the state you received it and in the original packaging.
  • Please email us at info@solidbench.com with your tax invoice along with photos/ videos of the damage within 24 hours of receiving the order. In case information is not received within 24 hours, goods would be assumed to be received in good condition.
  • Our customer service team will get in touch with you within 2 days to plan reverse pick up and schedule repair/ replacement.
